Alfred Browning Parker
A Candid Conversation with a Celebrated Florida Architect
IN 2008, DESIGN BOOK CONDUCTED an interview with architect Alfred Browning Parker who, at the time, was approaching his 92nd birthday. A celebrated designer and an emeritus professor at the University of Florida School of Architecture, Browning Parker started his architecture practice in the 1940s. Throughout his career, he has completed a wide range of projects including single-family homes, commercial establishments and large public buildings.
