Max Strang, AIA

Max Strang is the principal of Max Strang Architecture. The ten year old firm is headquartered in Miami, although Max is currently opening a satellite office in Telluride, Colorado and he divides his time accordingly.

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 1994 he went on to receive a Masters Degree in architecture from Columbia University in 1998. Prior to launching his own firm, he interned with Gene Leedy (Winter Haven), Zaha Hadid (London) and SHoP Architects (New York). Max has twice been honored by AIA Miami as their Young Architect of the Year.

Last year, his firm was named Firm of the Year by the Miami Chapter of the AIA and also by the Design Center of the Americas.

A Conversation with Gene Leedy

Gene Leedy has accomplished much in his sixty-year career as an architect. He's designed banks, schools, houses, office buildings, country clubs, medical centers, a fraternity house, a city hall, a police station, a fire station, a library and the list goes on. He has received lots of recognition. His work has received lots of awards. He has been in all the right magazines and books. But that is just half of the story.
